All program participants meeting the following guidelines will be eligible for a no cost mammogram.
Be aware of changes in your body – contact your health care professional immediately if any of these are present.
Women should see their health care professional annually beginning in their 20’s to learn the benefits and limitations of monthly BSE (breast self examinations) and then report any changes to their health care professional immediately.
Women in their 20’s and 30’s should have a CBE (clinical breast exam) done by their health care professional every three years. Women in their 40’s should see their health care professional for a CBE every year.
Women should discuss with their health care professional when to begin yearly mammogram screenings taking in account their age and known family history. Some health care professionals recommend yearly mammography screenings beginning at age 40 and to continue as long as they are in good health.
To assist in providing quality breast care to those we serve, the Race Against Breast Cancer, Inc, has agreements with many medical providers in Northeast Kansas for guidance, support and provision of breast cancer screening services.
These clinics are trained to qualify NE Kansans for the RABC program and schedule those clients for RABC mammograms at participating mammography centers

These mammography centers and radiologists have contracted with the Race Against Breast Cancer to accept our payment as payment in full for the mammography services they provide to RABC clients.
Your donation to the Race Against Breast Cancer has the potential to save lives! The earlier cancer is detected, the better the outcomes are for the patient. The Race Against Breast Cancer works year around to ensure that Northeast Kansans in financial and medical need have access to mammography screenings and breast health education. What your Donation can do!
– $20 pays for the RABC to send educational materials to a rural health clinic.
– $50 pays for 10 RABC educational packets for health clinics to give to their patients to take home and practice good breast health habits.
– $100 pays for one RABC ultrasound for a NE Kansas client
– $200 pays for one RABC screening mammogram for a NE Kansas woman
– $300 pays for a RABC diagnostic mammography service with ultrasound for a NE Kansas client
