5K Event Information

  • All 5K Runners must wear the race number provided and wear their assigned runner chip bib in order to receive their race time for the 5K event.
  • Overall 5K awards will be based on clock time; age-group awards will be based on chip time.
  • 5K Runners are not allowed to push strollers or run with dogs.  Only registered walkers are allowed to have dogs on the 5K course with them.
    5K Walkers may push strollers, pull wagons or push wheelchairs (with participant secured while on course), but they must begin at the back of the walker group.  Children in strollers/wagons must be secured in stroller/wagon at all times while on the 5K course.  Children not in strollers/wagons on the 5K course must have a paid registration.
  • A signed waiver must be received for each participant on the 5K course

Where is the Event?

The Event is held at Shawnee Lake in Topeka, Kansas. Check-in is held at Reynolds Lodge, Southeast Tinman Circle

Runners are not allowed to push strollers or wheelchairs.

Walkers may push strollers or wheelchairs or pull wagons, but are required to start at the back of the walkers.  Wheelchair, stroller or wagon rider must be secured at all times while on the course.

Children must be secured in their strollers/wagon at all times while on the course.  Any child not in a stroller/wagon on the 5K course must be a paid registrant.

The Race Against Breast Cancer will honor all breast cancer survivors registered to participate in the 5K event with a complimentary gift.

Silent Auction

Our silent auction is now live.  Check back often as new items are being added weekly!  Bidding will take place online and end at 11:00 am on October 3 at our event location.  We are grateful to the generous individuals and area businesses that donated these items to our event’s silent auction!

Your donation to the Race Against Breast Cancer has the potential to save lives! The earlier cancer is detected, the better the outcomes are for the patient. The Race Against Breast Cancer works year around to ensure that Northeast Kansans in financial and medical need have access to mammography screenings and breast health education. With your help we can run the Race Against Breast Cancer – a race we cannot afford to lose!

What your Donation can do!

– $20 pays for the RABC to send educational materials to a rural health clinic.

– $50 pays for 10 RABC educational packets for health clinics to give to their patients to take home and practice good breast health habits.

– $100 pays for one RABC ultrasound for a NE Kansas client

– $200 pays for one RABC screening mammogram for a NE Kansas woman

– $300 pays for a RABC diagnostic mammography service with ultrasound for a NE Kansas client
