Registration

Please read all of the below information regarding registration and race rules before registering online.

  • Online registration is available with a service fee through Chronotrack.com services is provided and will be accessible through our website. Please click here to register online. Online registrations are not complete without payment.
  • Online registration will be available for the following registrant categories:

Early Registration – June 15 thru August 7 – 5K Run or Walk -RABC

Individual registration – $25
Team registration – $20 each.  Team registration requires at least five members and designation of team name.

The fee pays for participant’s entrance and an event t-shirt.  Each participant needs to complete a registration form.  Each participant will need to pick up their own participant packet.  Participant packets will be available on Friday, September 12 from 4:00 – 7:00pm at Washburn University Law Campus south terrace or Saturday morning at the same location between 7:30 – 9:00am.

Regular Registration – August 8 thru September 6 – 5K Run or Walk-RABC

Individual registration – $30
Team registration – $25 each.  Team registration requires at least five members and designation of team name.

Volunteer – $25

This category is for those who are interested in volunteering only at our event and wish to receive an event t-shirt and event packet. Entry into the running competition or walking event is not available with this option.

Donation – No Race – $25

This category is for those who are interested in donating to the RABC and receiving an event t-shirt and event packet. Entry into the running competition or walking event is not available with this option.

Event Kick Off Night/Packet Pickup/Silent Auction – September 12

Join us from 4:00 to 7:00pm at Washburn University Law School, south terrace! We will have onsite registration, pre-registered packet pick up, light supper provided by ClubHouse Inn, PT’s Caffee & Roasterie, silent auction, team mascots and so much more!

Awards

Awards will be given to the participants who enter the running competition and wear an assigned microchip bib. The top 3 overall male and female runners will receive $100, $75 and $50 respectively. A Master’s Award of $75 will also be presented to the top male and female runners 50 years of age and older. Special awards will be presented to the top 3 male and female runners based on the following age groups:

  • 12 & Under
  • 13 – 19
  • 20 – 24
  • 25 – 29
  • 30 – 34
  • 35 – 39
  • 40 – 44
  • 45 – 49
  • 50 – 54
  • 55 – 59
  • 60 – 64
  • 65 & Over

Rules

  • All Runners must weat the race number provided and wear their runner chip in order to receive their race time.
  • Overall awards will be based on clock time; age-group awards will be based on chip time.
  • Runners are not allowed to push strollers. Walkers may push strollers/wheelchairs/wagons but are required to start at the back of the walker group.
  • No animals are allowed on the course at any time.
  • A signed waiver must be received for each participant on the course

FAQ

Participant Packets for 5K event

Participant packets for the 5K Event will be available for pick up Saturday, October 1st starting at 7:00 at Reynold’s Lodge.  Friends and family may pick up each other’s packets with participant’s knowledge.

5K Dog Registration

Dogs may be registered to participate ONLY with registered walkers in the 5K.  Runners may not participate with a dog.  Registration fee is $10 per dog.  Dogs must be leashed at all times and must be current on all vaccinations.  No females in heat allowed.

Tinman Circle 5K Course Map

The start and finish line is at Reynold’s Lodge on Tinman Circle.  Participants will complete three laps of the course marked on Tinman Circle to finish the 5K.  Runners will need to wear their assigned microchipped bibs to have their run timed and be eligible for event medals.

Free Event Parking

Event parking is available near the Reynold’s Lodge at Shawnee Lake.  Please drive carefully and safely allow our volunteers to guide your car into our designated parking area at the Reynold’s Lodge.

Onsite Registration

Available at Reynold’s Lodge on October 1st beginning at 7:00 am.  Onsite 5K registration will end at 8:55 am on October 1st.  Credit cards accepted onsite with a service fee.  Cash and checks are also accepted.

5K Run Scoring

Microchip technology will be provided with results posted here after the 5K.   To be eligible for awards 5K participants must be registered as runners and must wear their assigned runner bib during the event.  Results will be posted after the 5K event on site as well as online.

Overall awards will be based on clock time; age group awards will be based on chip time.

Strollers, Wagons & Wheelchairs on the 5K course

Runners are not allowed to push strollers or wheelchairs.

Walkers may push strollers or wheelchairs or pull wagons, but are required to start at the back of the walkers.  Wheelchair, stroller or wagon rider must be secured at all times while on the course.

Children must be secured in their strollers/wagon at all times while on the course.  Any child not in a stroller/wagon on the 5K course must be a paid registrant.

5K event T-Shirts

 

We urge participants to register early in the 5K event to receive the 2022 5K run/walk event shirt.  Paid registrations received by September 3rd will receive a 2022 5K run/walk event shirt if desired.  This year we are offering an upgrade to a long sleeved shirt for an additional $5 for adult sizes only and only for paid registrations received by September 3rd. Long sleeved adult size shirts will not be available after September 3rd.  Paid registrations received after September 3rd will receive an older year 5K run/walk shirt WHILE SUPPLIES LAST.  We cannot guarantee a shirt in the size desired after September 3rd.  

Breast Cancer Survivors

The Race Against Breast Cancer will honor all breast cancer survivors registered to participate with a complimentary gift.
